About Me

Hi there, and welcome! I’m Caroline, a screenwriter, storyteller, and passionate daydreamer. This space is a little glimpse into who I am, where I’ve been, and the stories I’m excited to share with the world. Whether I’m crafting new worlds on the page or collaborating on set, my goal is always to create stories that connect, inspire, and leave a lasting impression. Thanks for stopping by—I’m so glad you’re here!

My Background

Hi, I’m Caroline, a senior Screenwriting major at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film & Media Arts. I grew up in Hermosa Beach, California, where the ocean was my backdrop and creativity seemed to be part of the air I breathed. I’ve always loved the idea of telling stories—finding ways to capture moments and turn them into something meaningful. That love of storytelling led me to pursue a career in film and media.

At Chapman, I’ve worked hard to maintain a 3.950 GPA and earn a spot on the Provost’s List, but what’s meant the most to me is the chance to dive deep into the craft of storytelling. Currently, I'm exploring a new type of storytelling through AMP Comics where I am learning the intersections of graphhic novels within the Film and TV buisness. I’ve also been lucky to gain hands-on experience in the industry, working as a Development Intern at Aperture Entertainment and as a Creative Production Intern at SR-48 Productions. In these roles, I analyzed scripts, developed creative concepts, and worked alongside professionals to see how ideas come to life. I’ve also worked on professional projects like Futures Without Violence and Gun-Smoke & Mirrors, taking on roles like script supervisor and associate producer. These experiences taught me how much I love both the creative and logistical sides of filmmaking.

Beyond internships, I’ve taken on my own creative projects. As the creator and showrunner of It’s Sexy Time, a comedy series about sexual positivity, I led a writing team to develop a fun and meaningful narrative. Producing Suburban Witch was another exciting challenge, where I managed everything from casting to fundraising to social media strategy. I thrive in roles that let me balance creativity with organization, and I love the collaborative process of making stories come to life.

How I Developed My Love For Writing

My love for writing came from my favorite childhood pastime: daydreaming. As a kid, I was always lost in my own imagination, creating elaborate stories in my head and inventing worlds, characters, and plot twists as if they were real. These daydreams were my escape and my playground, allowing me to see possibilities beyond what was right in front of me. Whether I was imagining alternate endings to my favorite movies or dreaming up entirely new worlds during long car rides, storytelling became second nature.

In high school, I started putting these ideas to paper. Working on creative projects like RUTV Weekly News and behind-the-scenes in theater productions gave me a real sense of how stories could come to life and connect with others. At Chapman, I’ve refined that love for daydreaming into a craft, diving into screenwriting and exploring different genres. Writing is now my way of weaving meaning into the fantastical, grounding imaginary worlds in universal emotions, and connecting with audiences through both laughter and heartache.

My Writing & Career Aspirations

When I think about my future, I picture myself writing and producing TV shows that transport people to other worlds. Fantasy has always been a genre that speaks to me—it’s exciting to create worlds where anything is possible but still find ways to explore themes and emotions that feel universal. Shows like Game of Thrones or Vampire Diaries inspire me because they combine epic storytelling with deeply human moments, and that’s exactly the kind of work I want to create.

I’d love to write for television, especially for shows that allow characters and stories to grow over time. I’m also drawn to the collaborative nature of TV writing, working with a team to bring a shared vision to life. Whether it’s creating my own original series or adapting existing stories, I’m excited to write and produce content that captivates audiences, sparks their imaginations, and stays with them long after the credits roll.
